Jim is a care farmer living and working in Wales and he’s going to speak about his journey in farming; from the family run organic farm, through various diversifications to what is now Clynfyw Care Farm CIC. Jim will talk openly about his pathway to starting up and the challenges faced along the way. Jim is keen to encourage other people to set up care farms and to improve community-focused social care, so to help capture his learning and advice he also became the author of a book ‘Care Farming for Beginners — a how to guide’. He hopes that his book, plus the regular talks he gives, will help enthuse and support others to develop their land for social and therapeutic purposes.
